Consolidations and mergers are a booming business in the food and beverage industry it appears. How this will effect the financing of the Inbev and the developments that will ensue and their effects on the shareholders would be interesting to observe. A $12 billion dollar deal it appears is in the pipeline. These are all good signs for the Global Mergers and Acquisitions deals.

Anheuser-Busch InBev is nearing a deal to buy the half of Grupo Modelo that it does not already own, according to people briefed on the matter, giving the global brewing giant control over the maker of Corona Extra beer. The larger company inherited its current 50 percent noncontrolling stake from Anheuser-Busch, which InBev took over in 2008 to become the world’s biggest brewer.
